Maria-Enna Cocciolone Inducted Into ABIA Hall of Fame

Maria Enna-Cocciolone Joins ABIA Hall of Fame
Recognized as one of the most prestigious awards in the beauty industry, Maria’s Hall of Fame honour cements her legacy and lasting influence within professional skincare.
The Australian beauty industry is celebrating one of its most respected figures as Maria Enna-Cocciolone, CEO of INSKIN COSMEDICS, is officially inducted into the Australian Beauty Industry Awards (ABIA) Hall of Fame.
What the ABIA Hall of Fame Represents
The ABIA Hall of Fame represents the pinnacle of recognition in the Australian beauty and aesthetics sector, setting the benchmark for excellence. Reserved for industry leaders who have made an enduring impact, this honour acknowledges Maria’s decades of dedication, innovation, and leadership in advancing professional skincare and empowering beauty professionals worldwide.
Reflecting in her acceptance speech, Maria said, “I didn’t dream of being a beauty therapist. Beauty therapy chose me. I didn’t dream of having a skincare brand, let alone three. I just did. But I dreamt, many a time, of standing up here. Of being recognised by you, by my industry for the work that I’ve done.”
Milestones and Brand Expansion for Maria
This induction coincides with two other major milestones for Maria: 40 years in the professional beauty industry and 15 years since the launch of her first brand, O COSMEDICS. Since then, she has expanded her portfolio by creating two additional skincare brands: GINGER&ME and INSKIN.CO, coining the term ‘COSMEDICAL’, all while staying true to her original promise to support and empower skin therapists.
“I cannot tell you the absolute honour and privilege it is to be nominated by my peers, by the people that I love, by some of the biggest friendships that I have, by my clinic partners. To think that there are so many brands out there and so many businesses […] that choose the work that we do. I didn’t dream that.” — Maria Enna-Cocciolone
But it doesn’t just stop at building a beauty empire. This achievement highlights not only Maria’s business successes, but also her lasting influence as a mentor and advocate. Throughout her career, she has guided countless aspiring beauty professionals, sharing years of first-hand experience and expertise to inspire the next generation of leaders in the industry.
“Her success was never just about products,” the ABIA stated in their opening tribute, “It was about people. She built a business culture defined by integrity, kindness and purpose. She’s an aesthetician, an educator, a business owner, a distributor, a board member and an industry leader. But ask her what she’s most proud of, and she’ll tell you: her team. Her community. And the belief she’s instilled in others.”
Nothing if not true to her core, Maria ended her speech with gratitude, humility and an honest dose of boldness:
“But the thing that I’m most, most, honoured about, is the fact that I’m just a beauty therapist that has lived a f***** amazing life.”
